* Jessica Legendre |
Jessica Legendre was a 3 year letter winner at
the University of Oklahoma from 2006-08. She was a two-year starter
at shortstop and third base, and was part of three NCAA Regional
teams and two Super Regional teams. In 2007,
Legendre and the Sooners won the Big 12 Conference Championship.
In addition to her college career, Legendre played with the Afterburners club team in Belgium for a total of four months, where she was brought over as a player/coach for the summer of 2010. She contributed to the team's first Belgian Championship. During the 2011 summer, she competed her first season with the Great Britain National team. She participated with the team in the World Cup of softball in Oklahoma City where they finished 5th overall. She continued on with the team to play in Italy at the European Championships. Legendre contributed the game winning RBI’s to help Great Britain qualify for the 2012 Canada Cup.
She
was brought on as a volunteer assistant coach for the University of
North Texas softball program during the 2010 season. Legendre helped
with overall infield preparations, and anything else needed to
prepare the athletes.
Originally from Port Jefferson, N.Y, Legendre earned her bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Oklahoma.
