Rachel Torres - Catching Instructor

Rachel grew up playing high school and select softball in Corpus Christi, TX. She received a scholarship to the University of Mississippi and signed on to become a Rebel in 2007. Rachel was a four year letter winner and full-time catcher for Ole Miss. She was a force both behind and at the plate, making countless contributions on the offensive and defensive side of the game.

She caught for Ole Miss (specifically Brittany Barnhill) for 4 years until graduating in 2011. She just graduated in December and recently moved to Dallas.

Rachel brings great deal of experience and knowledge of the game to us. She has a passion for coaching and experience with players at all ages and skill levels. Rachel has given lessons and worked camps throughout Mississippi and is now bringing her experience to Dallas. In her coaching, She emphasizes proper mechanics, consistency, and a strong mental game. Rachel teaches catchers to be sound, solid forces behind the plate. She believes that solid mechanics and a strong mind are a must and teaches her catchers to lead by example.  From blocking to footwork to mental toughness, Rachel works on all aspects of catching in her lessons.
