Ryan Bowen

Ryan Bowen is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Houston Astros and Florida Marlins. Bowen pitched all or part of five seasons from 1991 until 1995.

Bowen was originally drafted by the Astros in the first round of the 1986 Major League Baseball Draft. He spent the next four seasons working his way up through their farm system before making his major league debut in 1991. After pitching parts of two seasons for the Astros, he was chosen in the 3rd round of the 1992 MLB Expansion Draft by the Florida Marlins, with whom he spent the next three seasons. After two additional seasons in the minor leagues, Bowen retired following the 1997 season.

In regards to sports, Baseball has always been Ryan Bowen’s first love. He started playing organized baseball at age 9 and professionally at age 18. He went on to play baseball for 14 years professionally with baseball travels that would take him around the world. Now after more than 30 years in baseball, Mr. Bowen finds teaching the game that he so thoroughly loves to the up and coming future Major Leaguers, not only a joy but a blessing.
